Voice Mail System

  • Web PhoneManager was down longer than expected due to software upgrade related issue.

O365 Non-Standard apps not displaying

  • Unplanned
  • Date:  Friday, 03 November 2017
  • Time:  Approx. 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
  • What:  Users log into portal.office.com and their non-standard apps (Adobe Cloud, Zoom, etc...) do not exist in their previous apps location.
  • MS Ticket: [REG:117110316608547] SRXCAP:1403249721ID / ETS SR: 20174961
  • Solution: Issue resolved itself around noon.
  • Work around: Go to link: https://account.activedirectory.windowsazure.com/profile/default.aspx  Login, click on the user name in the upper right hand corner and click on Apps.

Voice Mail System

  • Date:  Tuesday, 24 October 2017
  • Time:  5:30P to 8:00P  Update, system will be off-line until 10:00P
  • What:  Moving the voice mail system from physical servers to virtual machines.  While we move servers, the voice mail system will be unavailable.  We regret the inconvenience.

Voice Mail System

  • Date:  Wednesday, 4 October 2017, around 2:00pm
  • Reason:  While doing testing on the voice mail system, message waiting indicators (lights and stutter dial tones) were turned on for some mailboxes for messages dating from September.
  • Resolution:  The message waiting indicators are being reset to the correct state.  Most will be reset by 2:30pm today, but a few will not be reset until early tomorrow morning (Thursday, 5 October 2017).

SDSU_Wireles and eduroam connection issues

  • Unscheduled.
  • Date(s): 7/31/17 9:55am 
  • Length: Approx. 4 hours
  • Reason: During out CNI cutover of Calpulli two ports were connected together on an access layer which which created an instability in the Spanning Tree topology and caused reconvergence throughout the network.
  • Contact: wireless@mail.sdsu.edu
  • Resolution: Reboot the core routers at 12:50pm today.

SDSUid Password reset/Recovery options not working

  • Length: Approx. 4 hours
  • Reason: UCS [Ticket #10013] AZURE Active Directory Sync Down

  • Resolution: Disable and re-enable the Password Writeback feature, also check the synchronization service (it was shut down) and start it up if necessary.

SDSUid Password reset/Recovery options (NEW USERS) not working

  • Unscheduled.
  • Dates: 4/26/17 through 5/1/17
  • Length: Approx. 6 days
  • Reason: AAD Premium P1 licenses were consumed by intent students.

  • Resolution: AAD Premium licenses were ordered (rush) and applied when delivered.

 SDSUid password expiration emails were sent to faculty, staff and students. 

  • Scheduled.
  • Date: 4/19/17
  • Length: Single day.
  • Reason: Non-activated accounts needed to be requested/claimed, existing accounts were shceduled for notification.
  • Contact: etshelpdesk@mail.sdsu.edu
  • Resolution: New users were instructed to request the SDSUid and activate account.
